ART CAMP: Mark Making and the Landscape. 18.07.18
A variety of drawing, painting and mark-making techniques will be introduced at the start of the session. Children will then have the opportunity to take some fieldnotes and sketches at the Nature Reserve. Working back at the Tipi the children will be guided through a number of processes using a variety of materials to create an expressive landscape painting, playing with colour, patterns and marks.

Price: £50 per child
The price includes working in small groups with a professional artist, all materials and the finished artwork(s). Refreshments will be available throughout the day, but children must bring with their own packed lunch.

ART CAMP: Birds and Beasties Model-making. 24.07.18
Children will have the opportunity to explore part of the Nature Reserve, taking fieldnotes and sketches of the flora and fauna of this beautiful landscape. Working at the Tipi, a variety of model-making techniques will be introduced to allow the children to create wonderful and beautiful sculptures.
This workshop has been designed to raise the awareness of the environmental problems we face and the impact that plastic is having on our oceans, coastlines and countryside – in particular the problem it is causing to sea creatures and birds.

Price: £50 per child

ONE HOUR SESSIONS: 26.07.18
Come along and have a go at different activities, each offering an opportunity to play with a variety of materials and techniques. Some of the activities will include foraging art resources from the Nature Reserve.

Time: 1 hour sessions throughout the day
Price: £8.50 per child/1 hour session
The price includes working in small groups with a professional artist, all materials and the finished artwork(s). Refreshments will be provided as well as free entry into the farm for each child.

Suncatcher Collage
Create colourful summer collages using tissue paper and natural materials.
10am – 11am
£8.50 per child

Pine Cone Elves
Create little characters using a variety of natural materials and up-cycled fabrics.
11.30am – 12.30pm
£8.50 per child

Land Art
Create sculptures and beautiful land art using natural materials.
Due to the nature of this workshop, finished artworks cannot be taken home,
but a framed photograph of the finished artwork(s) will be sent to all children.
1.30pm – 2.30pm
£8.50 per child

Nature Drawing
Sketch the plants at Murton using different materials and techniques to create simple but effective artworks.
3pm – 4pm
£8.50 per child

The EXPLORE PLAY CREATE workshops include many aspects of creativity and encourage curiosity and investigation – they are about discovering possibilities, developing abilities, expressing ideas, experimenting and having fun!!! No previous experience necessary.
